In Dover, March 11, 2009, "Let's Get Out of Here - Traveling With Oxygen" Colleen Seemans, Senior Account Executive with Apria Healthcare came out and displayed two different types of portable oxygen concentrators. They also discussed traveling by air, automobile, train and on cruises. The rule of thumb is to check with the particular carrier you have chosen. There is no one place to go for the latest and up-to-date information other than with the carrier as you are planning your trip. Their rules change so you want to check with them as close as one week prior to travel. The two oxygen concentrators discussed were the Phillips EverGo and the InogenOne. Remember when choosing an oxygen concentrator that if you plan to sleep with it, it should have the capability to be set to continuous flow. The SeQuel Eclipse, which was not demonstrated, has continuous flow. Don't let these conditions keep you at home. You can figure it out in no time. When in doubt - call.
We've haven't met in Dover for a month. We will meet again on Wednesday, June 9, 2009, 5:00 p.m. at Modern Maturity, 1121 Forrest Ave, Dover, DE 19904, 302-734-1200.
